DMC goes international!
We’ll be heading up to Toronto to play some shows during Indie Week Canada as part of the RSL blog’s Outlaw Roadshow. One of the shows is even at the legendary Cameron House, which some folks consider Canada’s CBGB’s. (Having played at CBGB’s back in the late 90’s I’ll let you know!)
DMC is packing up the van, grabbing some snacks and heading out for a quick 10 days around the Midwest.
Don’t worry about preseason football or the impending end of this gorgeous Summer, just come out and see us and have some fun!
It’s that time of year and we’re off to Anaheim. I’ll be in SoCal from Wednesday through Sunday so I hope to see some old friends and make some new ones. If you see me, say hi!
Found out recently that Host Ben Keefer and the good people at IPR posted audio of our November visit to the Java Blend program. They record the show live in the back room of a very small coffee house on a very small stage (as you can see by the pic.)
I played the whole show using VF Tala Wands but my Yamaha Tour Series drums and Impression cymbals sounded pretty darn good. It was tough to get a feel for how loud the loops were since the show goes direct to hard disk but I balanced it the best I could. That’s showbiz!

Working all three acts this fall plus the annual Coldwaves festival and then closing out the year with some recording in Dec/Jan with our friend Shane at Howl Street Studios. Can’t wait!

OUT NOW – the new Nineteen Thirteen single “Summertime.” The track centers around an organ recording of Janet’s grandma from back in the 1960’s, augmented with our normal Cello/Drums/Percussion plus some special contributors. On bass, we have the Grammy award winning bassist Rob Wasserman and on vocal the lovely Monia. A full length release is scheduled for Fall 2015.

Here’s a hint – one of the shows is on a spooky day in June….
I was updating the Video of the Week page and Discography page recently and realized I had a pretty busy year. Lots of shows with MMTU, a few with Sulek and another great ILC show at COLDWAVES II this year. Also got to sit in with my pals Zach Steinback, Michael McDermott* and 1913 playing a little cajon and percussion. And I had five different projects release this year! It’s crazy how fast this year went by and I think I’m going to do a 12 Days of Christmas type review of my top 12 favorite shows of the year.
In the meantime, Let’s plug some product- they make great stocking stuffers!
