A couple of best of 2016 mentions…

Big thanks to our friends in Europe at the Troubadour Radio show!  They put “Fuel the Lights”  at #14 on their top Twenty  for 2016.  It is an amazing feeling to know that our music is making it’s way around the globe and that people are enjoying it.
(Plus my old Boss Michael McDermott made the list as well. Glad to see and hear him doing some of his finest work to date in 2016.)

Also thanks to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for adding “Fire” to their “The 10 best Milwaukee songs of 2016” list.

Oh Canada!

DMC goes international!

We’ll be heading up to Toronto to play some shows during Indie Week Canada as part of the RSL blog’s Outlaw Roadshow.  One of the shows is even at the legendary Cameron House, which some folks consider Canada’s CBGB’s.  (Having played at CBGB’s back in the late 90’s I’ll let you know!)

As the Milwaukee Film Festival 2016 wraps up this week. We wanted to thank everyone that supported us this year by helping us create the video, show it in the festival, and motivate us to create bigger and greater things in 2017. (Especially you Jessica Farrell & Quinn Hester. You two are true blue.) This has been a dream come true and we're far from finished. -Ehson, Nez, David, Max . . . . . . #MKEDMC #americana #rock #folk #wisconsin #milwaukee #local #localmusic #midwest #menswear #menssuits #beard #harmonyguitars #Alvarez #harmony #fender #Acoustic #DevilMetContention #MilwaukeeFilm #FilmFestival #MusicVideo #MFF2016 #MFF #UsedToBe #LocalMusic #Film #Festival

SoFar Sounds Indy style!

We did one of these last year in Milwaukee and it was fun but not nearly as epic as the Indianapolis version.  A flash flood rolled through Broadripple about 2 hours before the show. Power was out and it seemed like we’d have to cancel but thankfully everything sorted itself out in time for a great show.   Plus, I got to see some family which was a bonus. I’m that Uncle who is also a rock star, haha!

A Swing around the Heartland

DMC is packing up the van, grabbing some snacks and heading out for a quick 10 days around the Midwest.

Don’t worry about preseason football or the impending end of this gorgeous Summer, just come out and see us and have some fun!

“Fire” – a response to recent events in Milwaukee

fire_artwork
Fire is a reflection on the American struggle for peace and equality in Milwaukee WI

lyrics

Pulled over in the night
Two men in a car near midnight
Waiting for a fire in Milwaukee

For a purpose yet unknown
But the bullets they were thrown
Starting up a fire in Milwaukee

Gasoline is burning bright
Silhouettes run in the light
And your heart breaks in two for another
Another mother sits at home
She is waiting all alone
Cause her boys not coming home tonight

They say “he had a gun”
They ask “why did he run?”
Driving with a stolen gun Milwaukee

But its really not the case
When the law gives to the chase
Is it Judge, Jury, and Execution in Milwaukee?

Gasoline is burning bright
Silhouettes run in the light
And your heart breaks in two for another
Another mother sits at home
She is waiting all alone
Cause her boys not coming home tonight

Gasoline is burning bright
Silhouettes run in the light
And your heart breaks in two for another
Another mother sits at home
She is waiting all alone
Cause her boys not coming home tonight
Cause her boys not coming home tonight
Why’s her boy not coming home tonight?
